Eduardo San Angel - Simply the best

Eduardo San Angel is probably the best and certainly my favorite restaurant in all of Broward county. It certainly ranks up there as one of the best by many reviewers. The appetizers alone a worth a visit. More often than not, we always get the grilled sliced eggplant roulade au gratin. Absolutely marvelous. The calamari and spinach salad are also excellent. For the main course, I've always favored the yellowtail entrees but then again, I don't eat meat so I'm always excited to dine out for seafood. Unlike most South Florida restaurants, the service is quite good.

Canyon for our Anniversary

We went to Canyon for one of our anniversaries and it did not disappoint. Luckily, we went on a weeknight rather than the weekend where I've heard it's quite packed and the no reservations policy makes it difficult. The atmosphere was quite intimate, cozy and noisy. It's nice to people watch when you're out. Canyon's known for its "prickly pear margarita" but I opted for another flavor instead and I have to say it was one of the best I've had. The cornmeal crusted poblano pepper definitely a notable appetizer. I believe I had the snapper for dinner and then the pecan pie for dessert. All in all, a wonderful dining experience. In my younger days, I certainly would have stayed for a few more drinks.

Welome Ft. Lauderdale Foodies.

Welcome to my blog about good eats around Ft. Lauderdale. Having lived in New York City, arguably the food capital of the world (I'm biased), I started this blog since I found it difficult to get a good guide to local food around that was written by a normal. Feel free to drop comments so we can make it useful and valuable for everyone.
